National Baptist Convention, state NAACP host meeting on SC disaster response

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – The National Baptist Convention and the South Carolina State Conference NAACP will host the first Statewide Citizen and Clergy meeting on Disaster Response.

The meeting will be held at First Calvary Baptist Church, 1401 Pine Street. Dr. Jerry Young, president of the National Baptist Convention will be joined by Dr. Lonnie Randolph, Jr., president of the South Carolina NAACP in convening the gathering at 6:00 PM.

The interdenominational meeting will focus on questions and issues related to equitable delivery of services to those in areas affected by flooding, public investment required to repair roadways and bridges, and resources available to help South Carolina residents restore their homes and businesses.
