What is All of Us at National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.?

With over 31,000 churches, the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. (NBCUSA) is the nation’s largest Black denomination. The NBCUSA H.O.P.E. Health and Wellness Initiative is a collaborative effort of National Baptist churches, medical professionals, and health related organizations committed to health outreach and prevention education (H.O.P.E.). We work in the churches of our denomination to inspire and enable our fellow National Baptists to commit to healthier lifestyles through

  • health and wellness education;
  • resource materials and services;
  • support networks of trained resource persons and facilitators; and
  • evidenced based outcomes assessment.

 

We have partnered with the All of Us Research Program, from the National Institutes of Health, to help speed up health research. We hope that more than one million people will join from across the U.S. People who join will give us information about their health, habits, what it’s like where they live, and if they will want information about their DNA. By looking for patterns in this information, researchers may learn more about what affects people’s health.
