Wolverine State Baptist Convention Women's Auxiliary has new leader

Sharon M. Floyd, 61, of Buena Vista Township is the new president of the women's auxiliary of the Wolverine State Baptist Convention.For 37 years, Sharon M. Floyd inspired, taught and organized lessons, first in the classroom then as the English and language arts coordinator for Saginaw Public Schools.

Although she left her job nearly two years ago, the longtime Mount Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist Church member hasn't stopped working...



The Wolverine Convention -- an arm of the National Baptist Convention USA Inc. -- addresses educational, social and religious concerns of the estimated 7.5 million-member Black Baptist congregations in the U.S. ...



"I'm thankful and humbled by this call to serve," Floyd said. "It gives me an opportunity to work alongside women throughout the state and the nation who are using their time, talents and resources to serve the Lord."
