GLBC Youth Empowerment Retreat (Grambling State University-LA)
July 29     .     August 1, 2013 (all day)

Excitement is in the air! The Greater Louisiana Baptist Convention is excited to gather the children, youth and adult leaders from Louisiana and surrounding states in the first GLBC Youth Empowerment Retreat. The retreat will be held on the beautiful campus of Grambling State University, July 29- August 1, 2013.
Camp MVP (Most Valuable Player) is an exciting life-changing summer camp for children ages 7-11 that aim to help students discover their purpose and develop their God-given talents and abilities that will charter their destiny for life. Camp MVP will offer a curriculum that is designed to teach character building, respect, responsibility, citizenship, leadership, servanthood, and most importantly sound biblical instruction that builds their faith in God.

For youth ages 12-35, Maximum Impact is the camp activity designed to help the age group reach their fullest spiritual potential. This program will also work to discover, develop, and demonstrate the gifts and abilities to impact the world. The motto for the Maximum Impact camp is “Changing the World One Life at a Time.”

We are convinced that participants will benefit tremendously from this (three nights and 4 days) retreat. They will also have the opportunity to be exposed to living on a college campus. The cost of the camp is $135.00 per person. Each participant will be issued a “Tiger 1 Card” which will give them access to Student Housing and Food Service Program during their stay.

As a limited number of rooms will be available, application will be processed on first-come basis. We, therefore, encourage registering your group as soon as possible. The deadline date for registration is July 3, 2013. Please email glbc.registrar@bellsouth.net to receive the Registration Packet via email.

Join us on the beautiful campus of Grambling State University for a wonderful fun-filled time of spiritual growth and development, as we work to “Change One Life at a Time”!

Committed to His Cause,

Willie Maynard, Jr., President
Greater Louisiana Baptist Convention
