We are approaching the 133rd Convention Session and the 112th Annual Session of the Woman’s Auxiliary to be held in Charlotte NC.  As with other sessions, we believe this session will provide much spiritual enhancement to inspire us for greater work when we return to our various places of assignment.  A bird’s eye view is presented to assist you in planning. 

General Information
Headquarter Hotel for Women and YPD: Omni Charlotte, 3 blocks from the Convention Center at 501 South College Street.

General Session for the Women is the Crown Ballroom and Halls A and B for the Parent body. All YPD Sessions / Activities will be held at the Convention Center, Room TBA
Please observe the deadline for pre registration as listed on the form (August 1, 2013).  Send the form along with your check to the Baptist World Center, Nashville, Tennessee.  Make sure that the form is completed with accurate and readable information. Make all checks payable to: The Woman’s Auxiliary NBC, USA, Inc., otherwise, we will not get credit.
The transfer of bags from Convention Center to Hotel and then back again presents transfer inconveniences. Therefore, Pre-registration pack can be picked up at the registration Booth for the women. beginning on Monday morning Please bring proof of registration to receive bags. A reminder: Pre registration should reach the Nashville Office by August 1st. Personnel will be preparing to close out so that they will be ready for Convention travel and shipping. 

On-site registration will take place beginning Monday at the registration area, located in the Convention Center. Hours are listed below: Anything pertaining to registration should be directed to Sister Nellie Suggs at 908 698 2020 or nsuggs@comcast.net.

  • Monday- Tuesday:  8am –7pm
  • Wednesday:  8am-5 pm
  • Thursday: 9am – 5 pm  
  • Friday:  9am – 12 pm


We are three blocks away from the Convention Center. Transportation should not be a major problem. The Host Committee will be on site at the Airport beginning on Saturday and earlier if necessary. Transportation contact: 704 392 0392. Although there is no set fee please remembers to be very courteous keeping in mind the distant traveled.

Sunday Worship
We will worship with the Friendship Baptist Church located at 3400 Beatties Ford Rd. The church contact number is 1 704 391 3864, and the Pastor is the Dr. Rev Clifford A Jones, Sr. Service begins at 11:00 A. M. City Bus Transportation is best for us. Board the bus at the Omni Hotel and ride it direct to the church. The cost is $0.55 cents.


The Board Meeting (Woman’s Auxiliary) will be held on Monday - 3:00 P. M at the Omni Hotel. The Room at this time is TBA. Check signage.
The Musical will be held on Monday at the Friendship Baptist Church at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm. It is the same place of our Sunday Worship. FASHION SHARE: National Coordinator Paula S. Davis announces the 17th Fashion Share Outreach Ministry Monday, September 2, 2013 at 10:00 A.M and ending around 12:00 P. M.  We are being hosted by the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church at 3400 Beatties Ford Rd. The Pastor is Dr. Clifford A. Jones. The phone number is 1 704 391 3864. The lunch will be held at the Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. Our Local Host Coordinator is Sister Brenda Jones.
Please abide by the time schedule for submitting clothing and money. We have removed slightly worn from our vocabulary. * Transportation will be provided for President Gatewood’s Officers, special invited guest, State & District Presidents from the Woman’s Auxiliary Hotel which is the Omni Hotel.
Clothing donations should be sent to Fashion Share Outreach, c/o Sis. Brenda Jones at the church listed above for the Fashion Share. Please send only new clothing, and do not send clothes before the first week in August.

Monetary donations, made out to Paula Davis, should be sent to 162 Vista South, Auburn Hills, MI 48326 and she will purchase clothing items for anyone unable to attend or send clothing. You may also e-mail her dpaula@att.net or contact her at 248 253 9252 or 586 504 9916.
Include new packages of underwear, in all sizes up to size 12 or larger: Children’s clothing and underwear in various sizes are also welcomed. Please send only new garments. Note, we have taken out “slightly worn” because it has been misinterpreted.  No after-five or formal wear. The women we serve are in transition.

The District and Local President’s Breakfast will be held September 3, at 6:30 A. M. at the Omni Hotel. The tickets are $35.00 and can be obtained by mailing your order and money to the Houston Office. The color will be white with red corsages. Opening Session of the Convention with the Parent Body ~ Tuesday morning at 9:00 A. M. in the Convention Center in Halls A and B. The women are expected to be present.
The Opening Session for the Woman’s Auxiliary will be 2:00 P. M. at the Convention Center in the Crown Ballroom.
The President’s (Dr. Julius R. Scruggs) Education Banquet will be held Tuesday, September 3 at 7:00 P. M. at the Hilton Hotel. Tickets are $50.00.


President’s Session ~ Wednesday morning will open at 8:40 – 8:50 A. M.: Quite Time with God, followed by Praise and Worship

I am not suggesting any particular color. However, white has been suggested by many state Presidents with your individual Region colors or your Convention colors. I simply want you there and on time. Remember, your presence is more important to me than color. We will begin on time and close in a timely fashion.

Women in White If you plan to participate in the friendly competition, you must report all money before 1:00 P. M. on Wednesday September 4th to the Finance / Registration area of the women on the proper form. Sister Nellie Suggs will assist you in this matter. It will greatly facilitate matters even more if you can report your money on Tuesday.
There will be no Session for the women on Wednesday Night.


Join the Parent Body on Thursday morning at 9:00 A. M. in Convention Center for our President’s Message -Hall A & B.

2:30 P. M. ~ 4:00 P. M. ~ Presentation by the Deaconess and Deacon Wives and Widows; Young People report; Minister’s Wives & Widows.
Banquet: Doors will open at 4:45 P. M. The tickets are $50.00. Send your order along with money to the Houston Office. The Past Presidents will present a Queen on this night: Tickets available on Sunday evening for purchase & pick up.

Friday Closing Session

If all reports have been made prior to this session, there will be no Friday Session. You can join the Parent Body and be dismissed until 7:00 P. M.  ~ Joint Session with the Parent Body ~ Baptism and the Observance of the Lord’s Supper.
