Western Region Youth Volunteer at the Open Door Mission

My name is Kamari Smalls and I am the IGBC Youth President for Utah under Sister Sonjia Daniels, IGBC Youth Director for Utah. In Omaha, Nebraska, we as youth had the privilege of going to the Open Door Mission to help better the lives of people in need. The boys helped put toys on shelves and even put shoes on racks. The girls matched up clothing sizes for toddlers and infants. We also folded clothes, gathered hangers from empty racks, and hung up adult sized clothing. Bread was also put on the shelves along with the toys. The youth helped with positive attitudes and volunteered to do tasks instead of being asked more than once. One of the workers at the Open Door Mission said that we were the most well-behaved group that they have had.

Thank you Dr.Hockenhull for letting the youth come together again and fellowship with the Lord in Omaha, Nebraska. This experience made us realize how truly blessed we are.
