USDA/NRCS and National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. Outreach Project

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)/Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and  the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. Outreach Project is a partnership between the USDA/NRCS  and the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. to help the USDA/NRCS in obtaining its established goal of increasing  participation of historically underserved and socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers with agricultural programs in the United States.  Because the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. has identified educating the communities which it serves as a top priority, the USDA/NRCS believes that this national organization is poised to provide agricultural outreach services and programs to help reach this goal.  Further, this partnership will serve as a model to increase agricultural awareness and participation in USDA programs in underserved  rural and urban areas throughout the nation.  The project is a part of the USDA/NRCS initiative with Faith Based and Community Based Organizations.

Additional information will be published as the programs under the partnership develop.
