Missionary Baptist Convention of Missouri Jr. Laymen Sponsor Black History Program

By Minister Anthony J. Woods Sr., Director |  January 15, 2012

We are blessed to have an opportunity to share with The MO State Jr. Laymen  and other guests “A Historical Now”.  "A Historical Now” is known as living History in the present.  We are grateful that both our Guest Preacher and State Convention President, The Rev. Dr. Jimmy L. Brown is A Living Historical Preacher; as is our Black History Presenter, The Rev. Dr. Thomas F. Freeman.  This event is to share with others that History is alive amongst us today and just as we read about the awesome interest in history in time past.  We are blessed to experience Living History Today.  Last Year we were blessed to have our very own Bro. Dan Griffin,(Past MO State Laymen Financial Secretary) one of the last living Buffalo Soldiers to be our Black History Presenter and The Rev. Dr. Carlton Caldwell(Moderator of The Berean District) to be our Guest Preacher.  The greatest part of this celebration is that our Preacher and Presenter are both born again Christians and both have served God and His People in an impactful manner.  We request your presence and support as we attempt to express to our youth the importance of History in The African American Christian Community.
