Hurricane Sandy: Your Support is Urgently Needed!

By Dr. Julius R. Scruggs |  October 31, 2012

Dear National Baptist Family:

Hurricane Sandy’s impact along the eastern seaboard has brought devastation to all that was in its path.  Many of our National Baptist Churches and families suffered tremendous lost.  Hurricane Sandy may have moved on—but millions are without power, transportation systems are crippled, more flooding is expected and your help is urgently needed.

Please make a gift to National Baptist Disaster Relief to support communities as they rebuild from devastation caused by disasters like Hurricane Sandy.   Many families will return home in the next few days only to find their homes completely uninhabitable.  They’ll need supplies to clean up their homes, a place to sleep at night while their roofs and windows are repaired, and food and water to keep them going until power is restored to their neighborhoods.  They’ll need you.

Recovery takes time—and it takes commitment, not only from those affected by disaster, but also from those who are willing to give it their all and help.  Make a gift to support National Baptist Disaster Relief now and stand with families affected by disasters like Hurricane Sandy as they rebuild and recover, every step of the way.

Or, if you prefer, you can mail your check or money order payable to "National Baptist Convention" to National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.; 1700 Baptist World Center; Nashville, TN  37207.  Please write "Disaster Relief Fund" in the notes section.

Thank you so much for being a part of our National Baptist Family. I know we can always count on you to help a neighbor in need.
