Dr. F. O. Hockenhull Homegoing Services Announced

March 20, 2012 A loved friend and Christian educator has departed from this earth for another land. “A city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God” (Hebrew 11:10) Dr. F. O. Hockenhull departed this life on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the McLaren Regional Medical Center. Dr. Hockenhull began his ministry to the National Baptist Convention in 1966 under the leadership of Dr. O. Clay Maxwell, in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Hockenhull has served the Christian Educational arena with tireless efficiency for many years as instructor, administrator, supervisor, advisor and supporter; and his philosophy of Christian Education as exemplified by his unselfish commitment and labor is nothing short of the philosophy of Jesus Christ, Himself. A loving and devoted wife, Dr. Marian Hockenhull serves in the Dean’s Office and Director of the Young People’s Department of the Women Auxiliary.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 23 - 6-8 p.m. Dinner will be served to out of town guests preceding the Memorial Service at 4:30 pm at the church.
Saturday, March 24, 2012
The Family Hour will be Saturday, March 24, 10: am with Homegoing Services at 11:a.m.
All services will be held at First Trinity Baptist Church where Dr. Hockenhull pastored for 43 years:

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Services, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., Flint, MI (810)789-6666. Congress President Dr. George W.Waddles will serve as the officiating officer and Convention President Dr. Julius R. Scruggs will deliver the eulogy.
