Dawn Kight, Course Card Coordinator and former Instructor for the Congress of Christian Education, chosen for prestigious award

Dawn Kight is the Course Card Coordinator for the Congress  She has also served as instructor in the Church Secretary Workshop


Southern University’s Dawn Kight, library manager of systems and technology, has been selected to attend the prestigious Harvard University Library Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians this summer from August 5-10 at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.


“I am so excited about being selected to this institute,” said Kight, whose photo is currently featured on the Historically Black College and Universities Library Alliance website (hbculibraries.org).


In 2009-2010 Kight participated in the Leadership Program of the Alliance funded by the Mellon Foundation that develops and supports effective library leadership at HBCUs. The John B. Cade library was able to benefit from funding by the foundation through Kight’s and the university participation.
