As part of our continuing efforts in support of Dr. Scruggs’ federal faith-based initiative, your H.O.P.E. HHS Team will host a conference call Monday (February 17) at 5:30 p.m. (CST) to share about a funding opportunity under the Affordable Care Act for new federally qualified community health centers. The applicant must be a federally qualified community health center (FQCHC), but the application will be enhanced by a quality faith-based organization. We had one successful pilot in Mississippi last year between a regional FQCHC and our state convention Mid-South Churches Cooperative Conference that will culminate in a new center this spring. We know that this is a national holiday, but we’re on a tight submission schedule including identifying willing FQCHCs.  We’ll have members of our national grant writing team on the call to field questions. Here’s the call in information: 1-213-342-3000, participant code 7169530. Also, we’ve have some early inquires about partnering with FQCHCs.

If you would RSVP to oakhill1879@msn.com, we’ll work to have some state specific information available. Thanks again!
